The Gypsy Drum or American Drum Horse

Drum Horses have long been used by the Queen of England to carry two large solid silver kettle drums, plus a fully costumed rider, through crowds of thousands of people during the "Queen's Processions."  These horses must have size, stamina, endurance, beauty, grace, and a calm disposition.  The Drum horse has come to America and while it is not used in "Queen's Processions,"  it is used in parades, shows, dressage, trail, jumping, and family events.  This horse has the size of a Clydesdale and/or Shire and the hair, beauty, and magic of the Gypsy Horse.  Currently there are two registries in the United States for this amazing breed....the American Drum Horse Association (ADHA) and the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association (GCDHA).  Feathered Gold Stables does breed for one or two Drum Horses each year and were blessed in 2006 with two wonderful Drum colts sired by our herd stallion, Feathered Gold Moe.  These colts have moved on to their new homes.  We do have one 2005 Drum filly for sale.  Please click here for more photos of Maddie.
