| The Gypsy Cob, Gypsy Vanner, Irish
Cob, Tinker, Travelers Horse, and various other names are used to
describe what has become known as the Gypsy Horse in the United States.
After several hundred years of selective breeding, the Gypsy Horse has
evolved into a strong bodied work horse with incredible endurance,
and a demeanor unmatched by any other breed. These wonderful horses are smart and willing partners for any discipline.
Just as the Gypsies, Romany Folk, or Travelers
of Europe have done; Feathered Gold Stables of
Ogdensburg, Wisconsin has proudly embarked on a
breeding program that matches the high standards necessary to carry
on the preferred traits of the Gypsy Horse. Importing our first Gypsy Horse in 2004, our herd has rapidly grown to over 30 horses with many more foals due beginning March 2011. Being a family run operation in Central Wisconsin, we are committed to sharing the magic of this breed with the public. All of our horses are registered with The Gypsy Vanner Horse Society (GVHS). We also attend numerous shows and events throughout the Spring and Summer months, sharing the magic of this wonderful horse with one and all.
